This incident was happened on last January 2012, my daughter was admitted to the hospital due to rota virus infection. she was having a fever and diarrhea for about 5 days, and on the fifth day i cannot bear with the situation (diarrhea non stop) so i was decided to bring her to the hospital..
we went to Hospital Pantai Ayer Keroh, there's a lot of patients had the same case (rota-virus). this is our first time using Insurance Medical Card, so i was thought that there was no problem with the protection services.........
BUT i was wrong!
the next day, i received a call from my agent said that i had a problem with my protection policy, i had two months unpaid fees..so to avoid any problem occurred during payment, she advised that we paid the remaining balance. i was so confuse with what had happened because what i know that i never missed to pay the monthly fees! (what's the mistake?? i did pay monthly..where's the money gone?)
luckily we bring along our ipad, but there's no wifi in the patient's room ..fortunately there's a free wifi at the ground floor cafe..
i was using maybank2u since i had started working which was in 2007; i'm using maybank2u for paying bills, online shopping, transfer to third party and buy top up number (previously i was using prepaid call service)
so back to the story, firstly i checked the transaction history...
luckily, i found the transaction history..i paid RM 100 for December till January 2012... so what was the problem? and hubby asked "are you sure that you paid to the right number?"
quickly i take out the medical card from my purse and double check the policy number that i had entered to the favorite paylist..
OHH demm! i had typed it wrongly!!! only the last two digit!
oh well my fault;
immediately, i call the agent and explain what had happened ..
my agent said the insurance company cannot assure that i will get back my money..
but i have to pay the unpaid balance immediately to avoid any problem..
unfortunately the remaining balance in my account is not enough..because of we were in hurry and husband doesn't have maybank account, so we called my MIL for help, luckily she has maybank2u and there's internet connection at home.
