Parenting : Tips Mendidik anak mengikut sunnah Rasulullah

Sebab blog ni lebih kurang mcm my diary, nk tepek la kat sini parenting knowledge yang kdg2 terlepas pandang..sebenarnya ada byk lagi tapi selalu lupa nk simpan kat blog..
i think it is good to keep something good here in a blog ,bukan nk tunjuk /mengajar org mcm kita pandai tapi for me when i put something in a  blog it's easy for me to refer it back in the future..

besides that senang nak info-sharing dgn husband hehe

to husband: xboleh laa rotan anak smpai dia umo 6 tahun..

ok..btw, skrg Hana mmg dh mcm-mcm ragam, kdg2 rasa nk rotan je!
kdg2 terpekik pekik jgk kat dia sbb geram sgt esp time dia tantrum
tp teringat cerita ustaz, Rasulullah layan anak perempuan dia dgn sgt sabar &  very gentleman
cakap dgn lembut, pd satu ketika Fatimah r.a  dtg kepada Rasulullah ketika Rasul sedang menyampaikan sesuatu dlm majlis ilmu, sebaik ternampak anaknya baginda menyambut kedatangan Fatimah dan memimpin tangan nya.
see, begitu sekali Rasulullah menghargai anak perempuannya.
kenapa perlu buat begitu?

from my opinion:

just my 2cents!
GOOD LUCKK!

Hana & Potty Train

Entry kali ni nk cerita pasal Hana :)
Cubaan untuk potty train ni dh lama jgk..tp x konsisten..
Plan asal nk train dia sejak January lagi, masa tu Hana baru 1 tahun 9 bulan.. tapi tak jadi sebab busy dgn baking kan hehehe...

During October, my mum came out with this idea again ..-potty train , me in the other hand agreed aje lah sbb mak nk support kan..kita buat je lah..buat sorg2 pun susah jgk..
potty train mula on weekend..every 2 hrs bwk dia pegi toilet..on weekdays mak lah yang buatkan..byk kali lahhh terlepas..penat la nenek dia membersihkan segala bagai..ada juga masa-masa yang kami kepenatan & pakai kan diapers.. & it happens in a month, a slow progress.

But during November, Hana shows good improvement, which i guess she can differentiate how it's feels wearing diapers and not. and she choose to NOT wearing diapers..:)
the progress was: sebelum ni  selepas pee pee baru cakap TAPI now dia cakap dahulu sebelum buat.. meaning she knows bila nk pee pee & her mind send the signal to wait untill the mouth saying ..
tapi ada lah jugak yang ter-missed, bila terlupa nk ingatkn dia suruh pee-pee & dia pulak leka bermain..
tgk2 dh bocor je..kdg2 dia baru cakap dh keluar..hehehe

lately ada new improvement, where is Hana dah berani nk poo-poo dlm toilet.. sebelum ni takut, katanya nnt masuk dlm lobang hihik..

GOOD JOB Alisya Hana!!
p/s: i was thinking to send her to playschool/playhouse next year..

masa drop by booth Coral kat Matta Fair i'm asking straight forward like this:

me: what interesting inside there?
SA: we have longest coral reef aquarium & longest touch pool in Asia (ini ayat std deorg hihi)
me: ohh..(sambil belek belek flyers nmpk mcm xbest je) humm aquariium je? i thought it looks like underwater world
SA: ohh no..BUT we have SHARKS!
me: (interested) sharks?! wahh!
SA: yes..and you can touch some of the habitat at our touch pool area..
 me: (amazed lagi)
SA: and you can feed the turtle..!
me: (excited) ok lah..give me 2 ticket for an adult, toddler below two free right?
SA: ok, yes FREE, you will be given a quiz and all correct answers will receive a souvenir
me: ohh (happy)..but normal price is quite expensive huh?
SA: not that expensive lah..the maintainance is very high, and we have to pay the rent about 60k monthly
me: haa..60k monthly? waa..expensive aa.. (then i think the price is reasonable. more reasonable because i beli lagi murah! hihi

so on 29 Sept, off we go to Dataran Pahlawan Megamall located at BandaHilir..

Being Me 2013

Alhamdulillah , i had the opportunity to participate in International Islamic Conference organized by Mercy
To those who didn't get the idea what it is all about let me explain a little bit...

"Being Me adalah salah satu program dibawah Mercy (what is Mercy? click here).

I bought an early - bird ticket cost about RM 90 . The program starts at 10am and ends at 10pm! really tough eh..but i only managed to arrived there at 3.30pm which i missed few talks that i aimed for.
the topic that was discussed were...

  • Ultimate Source of Liberation
    - Br. Yusha Evans
Quran – a message for all mankind. A message that took us from extreme darkness to the Ultimate light of guidance. A message that taught us to believe, love, hope and respect all of humanity. This message brought the ultimate liberation to the status and the role of Woman.
  • HER Story – HER Status  - Sh. Alaa El Sayed
It all began with becoming a believer in the eyes of her Creator. HER story will highlight her journey from being a mere possession in society to achieving the status of a believer in the eyes of her Lord.
  • Muslimah: Identity given by Allah - Sis. Tasneem Ghauri
All the freedoms and pleasures we enjoy are our God given right and privilege. As a Muslimah Allah believes in our potential of being the gender that carries nations forward. We are protected under the laws of Allah, He has honoured women by ordaining rights and privileges enjoyed by women since the advent of Islam. This session explore s the freedoms and rights granted by Allah to women.
  • Garments for One Another - Prof Dr. Muhaya
Allah describes the relationship between a man and woman as one of love, respect, devotion, support, and contentment. This session explores the Islamic paradigm of marriage and the role women and men play in having a healthy relationship according to the Qur’an and Sunnah. It will also highlight the importance of why the pair needs each other to build strong communities and a better society.
  • The Sahabiyaat: Women of Substance  - Sis. Zohra Sarwari
To this day we benefit from the courage and knowledge of the greatest women to walk this earth. Their concerns for issues which are relevant to women lead to the correct understanding of Islam. Stories of these women should inspire us and we can only be grateful to them for their zeal and desire to learn and get close to Allah.
  • It’s a GIRL! -  - Br. Yusha Evans
Maryam (AS)’s birth is a lesson for all of mankind. Her mother had hoped for a son to serve in the worship of Allah, and instead she was given a daughter. Allah chose Maryam as His devotee, sending a profound message that a female believer is just as beloved to Him as a male believer.
  • Freedom of Choice  - Prof. Dr. Zaleha
It is made explicitly clear in the Qur’an that every individual enjoys the freedom of choice and has liberty either to accept of reject any idea, concept or way of life. This talk aims to explore the usual options we are presented in life, and how to best utilise our instinctive wisdom to make the right choice.

and for workshop:

  • Qur’an Recitation - Br. Fatih Seferagic
Learn tips and steps in memorizing the Qur’an, pointers for learning tajweed and familiarize yourselves with the different methods of recitation (Qira’at) in this one-‐of-‐a-‐kind workshop conducted by a world-‐renown Qari and hafidh.
  • Positive Mental Attitude  - Prof Dr. Muhaya
Having a positive mental attitude is an important characteristic in achieving success in the dunya as well as the Hereafter. Always being in remembrance of Allah, and believing that Allah will provide ease after hardship is part of our Iman. This talk will elaborate on different ways us to maintain a positive outlook on life in spite of all challenges and calamities we may face.
  • The Fitnah of Wealth & Family - Sheikh Daood Butt
As women, you are the education of the future. You raise children who grow to be the leaders of the world. Sounds good, right? But most people don’t see it that way. Most mothers feel burdened by being at home and not living the “Modern Mum” lifestyle. This session will open your eyes to who you are as a woman, and how you can use wealth and family to your advantage on the Day of Judgment.
  • One Woman, Different Hats  -  Sh. Alaa El Sayed
There’s only one of you to go around in this jungle we call life and everybody wants a piece of you. Your husband, your children, your parents, your job, your friends, and most of all you. Learn how to cope with life’s demands and still maintain your sanity; doing it all with a smile.
  • The Power of the Youth - Sis. Zohra Sarwari
This talk is designed for the youth of today. A talk to motivate, inspire and teach them how to be more than they are. A talk to make them dream BIG and know that age doesn’t matter when it comes to making a difference. A talk to remind them the importance of tarbiyah, Sister Zohra Sarwari ahlaq and manners as they key point to being successful inshAllaah!
  • Education VS Schooling - Sis. Tasneem Ghauri

Be encouraged to take charge of your childrens future rather than leaving it in the hands of others. Open discussion about some of the pros and cons and misconceptions of homeschooling.

Besides that, they has this ..........

Sisters’ Corner: “In Sakinah” where you can pemper yourself with spa, henna, manicure/pedicure/ beauty in Islam ..

IT IS A LOT RIGHTT! Alhamdulillah i managed to attend
One Woman, Different Hats,

from this workshop, i learnt that each hats got different role... She is a wife, a mother, a child to her parents(hats). This woman has to acted differently for each hats. This is quite tough i guess..the speaker give the tips that..

Education VS Schooling Sis. Tasneem Ghauri

the speaker believe woman is the best teacher for her children. the education system out there is somehow not fair to all , student have to fit in a standard where actually every child ability is different..she's said, the children needs life of experience so, with homeschooling you can teach your child personally and more spiritually. Most of success full people are not going to school such as, Thomas Eddison, Steve Jobs, Ingvar Kamprad and many more..

to make this happen..you actually have to:

1) unemployed/ fulltime housewife
2) husband must have enough money because homeschooling is actually expensive because you have to provide the proper environment, education tools and some money for addition program like visiting places, sports and etc.
3) you need an assistant for house chores
4) you also need salary for your own reward / leisure

The bad thing of School education is.. it's create negative competitive spirit to the child and thus will bring the low self esteem and low confident level.. I agree with this, because this was happen to me actually. Remember, every child is different, the way they adapt, they way they understand and the way they can accept..we cannot judge the achievement by the examination because what determine the successful of the children is actually attitude, spiritual,manners.. don't stress out about the academic, stress out about learning about Allah , Quran and living skills, and slowly add up with science, math, language..etc. InshaaAllah they will shoot up catching for other knowledge.

(i'm not sure i can do this, but InshaaAllah i know what is the best)

******
i just remember about this..
which i want to blogged about it so i won't forget..
sis Tasneem was commented about ; most of young people/parents/couple nowadays are busy with their gadgets/smartphones.. she saw a young parents dining out together but the parents are busy with handphones; neglected the children! how sad! *what is important now? quality time with family or FB & internet*

and It’s a GIRL!

this talk made me feels blessed being a Girl , a woman..
but there's a big challenge to be a real Muslimah , nowadays (tbc)

*********************************************************************

if you come with a kids, you may send them to Genius Aulad Kids Zone or you may listen the conference from the mother's room..

This conference is very exciting because i can feel that all Muslimah is being united, cares, and empowered in develop the good muslim community. It is more exciting if you come with sisters, where's you can plan which slot you wanna had, going shopping and pampering yourself! It is really a REWARD!

me in the other side, the late comer..so i'm a bit rush digging for the knowledge..plus adapt the conference style. IT IS MUCH MUCH BETTER YOU COME EARLY :)

All in all thanks to husband for taking me there in PICC , Inshaa Allah..i will come again next year.
